Our Story

Located in the historic Far East Building in the heart of Little Tokyo, Far Bar offers something for everyone looking for a good time.  We are a place of fusion, but not compromise.  We have been listed as the No. 1 bar in Downtown LA from LA Weekly in 2013, CITIZINE's "A Purist's Guide to Little Tokyo", and Discover Los Angeles Guide to the "Best places to Watch the World Series", as well as featured in Hopped LA's "Downtown Beer Guide".

We want to bring you the best in craft beers, spirits and foods.  On top of our large selection of bottled craft beers from Japan (the largest in Southern California!), we offer 34 different craft beers on tap.  Our craft beers are rotated consistently bringing you the newest and freshest beers and often some rare beers that are hard to find on tap.

Our whiskey and bourbon selection is one of the best in Los Angeles and we aren't just saying that. (Los Angeles Magazine's "Best Places to Drink Japanese Whisky") We also bring in the best in tequila, rum, and sake.  Though we bring in top quality spirits that are a joy to drink neat, we don't mind mixing it up.  We change our signature cocktails seasonally using fresh ingredients that suit the season.  

A good drink isn't complete without a good bite to go with it.  From our sushi to signature burgers and our famous wasabi fries, we offer a selection of good eats designed to pair perfectly with a good drink.
